Re: diacritic stacking: positioning problem

And this question is probably more for Erwin: 10. Are there tags that are mutually-exclusive - not logically, but programmatically - in that using both in one definition will result in error? 10. If you open CompositeData.xml in a browser it will be parsed and will stop at syntax errors. because I m...

Re: diacritic stacking: positioning problem

All code syntax words are case-sensitive Yes, I understand about the xml tags; I was asking about the values, other than <GlyphName> value, e.g. "Auto" vs. "auto", "TRUE" vs. "True" vs. "true", etc. If uppercase diacritics are defined in the font, e...

Re: diacritic stacking: positioning problem

And more questions: 10. Are there tags that are mutually-exclusive - not logically, but programmatically - in that using both in one definition will result in error? 11. Several tags designate decimal code-point - can all these cases use Hexadecimal instead? 12. In the case of fallback glyph members...

Re: diacritic stacking: positioning problem

Great :) The glyphnames or glyph mappings are used in the order in which they appear But: If glyphs are mapped to Uppercase diacritics they will be used in preference to regular sized diacritics over capitals It is allowable to mix <GlyphName> with <GlyphMapping> in the same definition but if both a...

Re: diacritic stacking: positioning problem

They are the decimal code-points of the defined glyphs. See the Complete Composites Tutorial Thank you. Having read the tutorial and the pdf, and after looking at CompositeData.xml, I still have some questions, if I may: 1. Can <InheritSB> with Boolean value be placed inside the <Member> tag? 2. Wh...

Re: diacritic stacking: positioning problem

And it's always fun figuring out how magic tricks work

On that note, where do the "<GlyphMapping>...</GlyphMapping>" values in the CompositeData.xml come from?

Glyph selector for Preview

In main view, select glyph(s), then Right-click > "Add to preview" option. In OT Designer, e.g. in MtB or MtM Positioning, a button "Add glyph" and "Add class": - if the selected class is Base (or Base+Mark), and no Mark class is chosen, preview would list all members o...

Glyph tooltip incl. range

Possibly experienced users can tell from code-points which range a glyph belongs to, but it would be helpful to have that info added to the tooltip that appears on mouseover a glyph.

Re: User-defined folders

Not to mention that "d" was just an example, and such a search lists "double..." in the group, whereas a user-defined category would list only those glyphs that a user added there - sort of like Tagged, but without a visible tag, and added to a particular, user-named folder.

Re: User-defined folders

That works great, but only holds 1 group of results, so one cannot move between groups without retyping the search each time.

User-defined folders

In the left-side pane, somewhere below "Tagged", a "User-defined" main folder with the option to create various sub-folders, in which glyphs can be grouped. At the moment, one has to juggle tags in order to access a particular group, or creatively apply colour. It would be nice t...

Aaaand it works! :D Thank you.
And if you could answer the question from my previous post, I'd be overjoyed. I'm trying to learn and understand, not just do.

Re: diacritic stacking: positioning problem

Sorry, reading your reply above now! Can you save the file for FC11? Thank you! What I cannot understand is why this works in the case of idotless . i before acutecomb is changed to idotless via chaining context + single substitution. When I use chaining context + multiple substitution for abreve to...
