Any other value of AW would conflict with your expression for RSB.

Even if the overline moves to 0 and other values adjust, it's width is 482. It seems that the new AW is the sum of a AW (537) and the width of the overline (482), to arrive at 1019. Why is that a correct value?

such glyph has no Unicode mapping and there is no OpenType layout feature that gets to it. That was my presumption as well, but maybe it depends on the kind of layout feature? M2B didn't do the trick - that's all I'm saying - and having the solution you mentioned, I'm somehow disinclined at the mom...

I have a number of unmapped glyphs. I specifically select Include in Exports > All Exports (but the same result with just Desktop chosen). When I open the exported ttf, glyphs are missing. Why? What do I need to do to have them in the exported font?

I'd say yes, as the actual value may be of use in various calculations, and since the connection to the parent is broken, keeping the expression instead of value serves no purpose that I can see.

Composite glyphs with base() for LSB/RSB, after made simple, keep base() as value, with a red-circled exclamation mark. Is there a way to deal with that?
