See the Comparison Chart to see if you need the Professional Edition or if the Standard Edition @ $49 is enough for your needs. You can, I believe, evaluate the Trial version for 30-days with the full feature set of the Pro version. The Home Edition is unlikely to meet the needs of a DTP profession...

If I remember rightly, the free version is the fully featured Pro version during the 30-day trial period, so you can evaluate it to see if it suits your needs before purchase. Font Management in Free Version

i perfectly understand the font limit in free version (2,500?)

but how how does that work in pracrtice?

ie MT happily loaded some 4,000 fonts (most of which i should get rid of really)

so how is the 2,500 limit applied in practice?

pls explain why i should spend a huge amount of money upfront on Maintype just for font management single licence when i can simply use FontBase @ $3 p/m if i upgrade.

Your 'Help' did not provide information on how to organise fonts, except by tags.

So, just how do we organise into 'Groups' or virtual Folders by type or project?
