Thank you very much for your message. I'll follow that route. I have defined classes for the accented characters I need and the task is less time consuming, no doubt.

Usually, font publishers don't include kerning for European accetend characters (á, é, â, ã etc.). There are numerous kerning pairs for "a" but none for "á". I am a novice in FontCreator and I don't know if there is a way to copy the kerning pairs from "a" to customize ...

Big difference! Now the exported font has nearly the same size as the original size of the font. Congratulations! Once more, quick update to solve a problem!

Thank you very much for your answer. For example, a Garamond Pro-Regular.ttf by Softmaker (323Kb), after correcting some kerning problems with FontCreator, was changed to 114Kb. And so on...

When I edit a font using FontCreator, the exported font file has a much lower size than the original one. Is this normal?

Astonishing: if I convert the TTF font to OTF using an on-line converter, the font is recognized by Windows XP and it works.

I have been modifying a truetype italic font. It works under Mojave or Windows 10 but when I attempt to install it in Win XP, the font, at the first moment, looks OK when shown through the Windows Font Viewer, but, after installing it, it's a regular font, not italic. Any suggestion?
