Re: Test TTF/OTF fails V9.1 pro Win10

We can't say for sure, but it is likely an issue within FontCreator version 9. Upgrading to the latest version should solve the problem.

Re: Can't type in my Korean font after editing each letters

The font seems to be based on another font, which also includes embedded bitmaps for smaller font sizes.

You can remove them through this dialog:

Can you send the font project to us, so we can look into the issue?

Re: Can't type in my Korean font after editing each letters

You probably need to include Korean support for both Unicode and Code Page Character Ranges. Korean.png Uncheck "Automatically update character ranges when exporting font", and then manually include the required ranges. For specific Unicode Character Ranges, it might be best to open anothe...

Re: MainType 7

We've just released another update with these enhancements: - Improved preview of loaded fonts - Force fonts to install in Windows fonts folder - When tagging fonts, the list will no longer update automatically, so you can continue to tag fonts in the same view - When a single font family (in family...

Re: Updating

Bhikkhu Pesala is a beta tester, so he has access to unpublished updates. This allows us to develop new features, which are tested before we release them to the public.

We have a pending update (version 7.0.0.1032) which we most likely release later today.

Only set it for legacy Symbol fonts, otherwise your font will fail to work.

Re: My .Woff font doesn't appear to be a valid font when I install it

The Web Open Font Format is widely supported in all modern web browsers.

This StyleSheet should get you started:

Code: Select all

@font-face {
  font-family: "MyWebFont";
  src: url("/webfonts/MyWebFont.woff") format("woff");
}

body {
  font: 32pt/32pt WebFont;
}

Re: My .Woff font doesn't appear to be a valid font when I install it

A WOFF file contains a font in the Web Open Font Format, and can be used within a web site. Visitors of the web site will then see the font as a web browser will use it to display fonts.

If you want to use your fonts in Windows, then you need to save and use as TrueType/OpenType.

Re: Some bugs and new improvements

Yes you are right.It is not possible for one who doesn't know arabic. This problem is about paragraph direction. Paragraph direction must be right to left not left to right. FontCreator already tries to identify right-to-left text runs. And another problem is about initial, medial and final form. I...

Re: Some bugs and new improvements

We know the preview isn't perfect for complex scripts. In order to improve it, we need to better understand how to process a run of glyphs. Can you explain that missing link?

Re: About Justification Alternates

It might be possible if you keep the advance width of the justification alternates equal to the original glyphs. You also need to ensure other positioning features (e.g. pair positioning) match as well. But I think you need to adjust the design of the justification alternates, which is probably not ...
