Re: My .Woff font doesn't appear to be a valid font when I install it

The Web Open Font Format is widely supported in all modern web browsers.

This StyleSheet should get you started:

Code: Select all

@font-face {
  font-family: "MyWebFont";
  src: url("/webfonts/MyWebFont.woff") format("woff");
}

body {
  font: 32pt/32pt WebFont;
}

Re: My .Woff font doesn't appear to be a valid font when I install it

A WOFF file contains a font in the Web Open Font Format, and can be used within a web site. Visitors of the web site will then see the font as a web browser will use it to display fonts.

If you want to use your fonts in Windows, then you need to save and use as TrueType/OpenType.

Re: Some bugs and new improvements

Yes you are right.It is not possible for one who doesn't know arabic. This problem is about paragraph direction. Paragraph direction must be right to left not left to right. FontCreator already tries to identify right-to-left text runs. And another problem is about initial, medial and final form. I...

Maybe Adobe released an update. Which InDesign version do you have installed?

Re: Some bugs and new improvements

We know the preview isn't perfect for complex scripts. In order to improve it, we need to better understand how to process a run of glyphs. Can you explain that missing link?

Re: About Justification Alternates

It might be possible if you keep the advance width of the justification alternates equal to the original glyphs. You also need to ensure other positioning features (e.g. pair positioning) match as well. But I think you need to adjust the design of the justification alternates, which is probably not ...

Re: Some bugs and new improvements

Shall I tell you some about font creator bugs and new suggestions for latest version. By the way, I generally work about arabic script. 1. I reported you before about cursive attachment bug when right to left selected exit and entry cursives are opposite. I remember. It will be fixed with the next ...

Re: MainType 6.0 Installation Error

It can be done, but since older versions don't overwrite all more recent components (we try to move forward), it needs to be done with care. Please be aware the MainType database is upgraded to support MainType 7. This can't be reverted to an older version, so you will loose all your font libraries,...

Re: FontCreator vs FontForge

Actually FontCreator does give two characters the same name: 03A9 and 2126 are both named Omega.

That should never happen (we'll fix this in the next upcoming release), but FF is also wrong, as Omega should be mapped to $2126.

[Tt]commaaccent are correctly mapped.

Re: Acariya: A Less Condensed Version of Guru

It is next to impossible to spot any issues with your fonts, but the upcoming improvements to the validation feature did find one minor issue with germandbls.smcp.

Re: Modifying glyph names

I am uncertain how a single f/r for glyph names will aid anyone much less myself. With regular expressions it allows you to quickly change part of a name into something else. We should provide some examples to get novice people started, but I'm sure some people will benefit from it. So I would pref...

If you are not sure if you want to sell the font, then better not post it here. You can send it to me; I'll send you a pm with my email address.
