Implementation of glyphs alternate variants
I am not sure if this has been discuss before but I am curious what is the best way to implement characters variants... For example, if there is only a single variant for certain characters such as this example here: test.png I guess the "salt" feature would be sufficient? What happened if...

PUA or no encoding name?
Hi,
I am interested to know if there is a preferred way of doing the alternates of characters, as in should they be encoded in PUA or use custom name like A.alt / A.2, etc?
Best Regards,

Variables to Generate Glyph maps
Sorry for bumping this post but it seems to be along the same subject I am suggesting so I just post here... I am thinking if it would be possible to implement variables that generates glyph maps for the font files like {glyphmap_basic_latin} to generate something like this https://frs.monotypeimagi...

Re: Shadow Effects in FontCreator
It would be nice to have an option to allow us to specify the drop shadows length and angle.

Changing the size of a glyph
I am wondering if it is possible to use the transform feature in FontCreator to enlarge the glyph's overall size/shape without affecting the thickness of the strokes, or is it simply not possible and have to recreate the glyph from start?

Sorry for bumping this old thread.
I am wondering if there is any updates to this issue?...
I have read dkso's comment on the workaround solution but I am somewhat confused and unsure how to proceed...

Re: Layering for Chromatic fonts?
Just to clarify my idea. Perhaps this is why William is confused about the chromatic layer parts... I am actually planning to make something like this: https://www.myfonts.com/fonts/hwt/american-chromatic/ There will be multiple fonts separated into layers like shadows, inset, base, fill, etc.... It...

Re: Layering for Chromatic fonts?
Hi William, I am thinking of something like a built-in multi-layers preview. You can mark each layer with a different color (to distinguish between differnt chromatic parts) and perhaps transparency setting to simulate overprint effect. Perhaps something that looks like this in the work windows and ...

Layering for Chromatic fonts?
Would it be possible to implement layers feature so it will be easier to create chromatic typefaces within a single font project. Exporting will generates all the different font layer OTF/TTF files.
