Re: OpenType Features: Order of Precedence

If I use Ordinals, I will enable it as part of the Body Text paragraph style. This is the only practical method. Highlighting every occurrence of st, nd, rd, or th to enable the Ordinals feature makes it pointless adding the feature in the first place. One may as well just use Superscripts. If the O...

Yes. Still some issues to resolve. I updated it again, but 123/456 is currently still broken.

This is the latest version.

Re: OpenType Features: Order of Precedence

Oops. And the frac feature is...complicated. There are 13 chaining contexts. I believe I based it upon Tal Leming's Fraction Fever code. So while not an infinite arbitrary fraction feature, I doubt people will be using more than it can handle. I found this thread on TypeDrawers , which refers to Ta...

IanRG wrote:Why is something that makes it easy to modify glyphs impractical?

Because of the amount of work on figuring out what it should actually do, and how to program it.

I will move it back to the Feature Request forum.

Re: Weight matching

It sounds impractical as a feature request. Drawing the glyphs right in the first place makes more sense than trying to correct mistakes afterwards. A workflow that some designers use is to create the basic elements first, then copy and paste them to other glyphs. To solve your problem, you could us...

Re: Weight matching

This seems more like a support question than a feature request, so I moved it. If some glyphs look too light compared to the others, select them in the glyph overview and apply a slight Bold transformation. Or, if some are too heavy compared to the others, apply a slight Thin transformation. ⋅...

Re: [FIXED] FC11 64-bit: Minor bugs/problems after upgrading

Grabbed the new update, the change to the automatic contour direction works perfectly and the bug is indeed solved, which is awesome - thank you very much. This baffles me. You said earlier: Firstly, when using the stock Draw Rectangle and Draw Circle tools, their contour direction seems to be rand...

Re: What is the advantage of exporting the "Legacy Kern Table"

There are applications that still do not use gpos but do use the kern table. Yes. All Serif Applications, except for the latest PagePlus X9, so I do included the legacy kerning tables. Pali Regular: With Legacy Table: 1.08 MB (1,133,900 bytes) • 7z = 282 KB (288,968 bytes) Without Table: 801 KB (82...

Re: FC11 64-bit: Minor bugs/problems after upgrading

Firstly, when using the stock Draw Rectangle and Draw Circle tools, their contour direction seems to be randomised rather than always being clockwise. It's not a bug, the direction is not random, and it's a feature. You no longer have to reverse the direction of interior contours since FontCreator ...

Re: Copy/Paste from Illustrator

Did you look at this thread ? Importing an entire alphabet is quite easy in Scanahand. If one could do something similar in FontCreator it would be great. Adjusting the baseline and scale factor is actually all that's needed. Optical Metrics can calculate the side-bearings. Even if the vertical posi...

Re: 64 bit open type feature can't be moved up or down

The Up and Down Arrows are enabled for Lookups, but greyed out for Features.

The tooltips look like they need fixing. That's apparently left over from earlier versions.
