I have a dual monitor system: Primary 1200x1600 portrait, and Secondary 1920x1080 landscape.
It would be nice to be able to save FontCreator layouts, like we can with MainType.
One can work around it by exporting Windows registry keys, but that is only for Geeks.

There have been a lot of bug fixes in the last official release on April 25th.

Re: Suggestion: Detach the Test Font window
The font test window uses a temporary font, so you have to relaunch it to see any changes to the font. The preview panel is the right place to see dynamic changes.

Re: is it possible to paste contours to others glyphs with keep the orignal content
I think you will have to paste the contours to one glyph at a time in Glyph Edit mode. By using shortcuts to navigate to the next glyph, this process is not difficult for a few dozen glyphs. Alt+Right, Ctrl+V, Alt+Right, Ctrl+V ... If you need to edit hundreds of glyphs, you might need to look for a...

Re: ViewPanel has huge gaps between entries
No. This makes it worse. On changing the layout, MainType disappears from view, though the icon is still on the taskbar.Erwin Denissen wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 7:01 am Does this update solve the issue?

Re: ViewPanel has huge gaps between entries
I can confirm that the application window disappears briefly after startup.
Not a big issue, but slightly distracting.

I see the opposite bug. On resizing the Views Panel, the spacing becomes much tighter, but there is obviously a bug here.

Re: Font Creator 15 2973 Bold and Thin Issue
It is up to you, the Font Designer, to fix a few issues like intersecting contours manually. There will usually be edge-cases that need manual adjustment after the automated glyph transformations have done what they can. With experience, one knows where to look, and FontCreator’s built in validation...

Re: Ligatures - two simple questions
Ligatures are not what you need. What you are doing is creating a cursive font , for which you need to use Contextual Alternates . For this, you need to create two or more versions of some letters and use an OpenType feature to substitute the appropriate glyph dependent on the context. This alternat...
