Re: Can't type in my Korean font after editing each letters

In font properties, Ranges, click both of the Calculate buttons to calculate ranges and code pages.

Do the same on the Metrics tab to calculate font metrics in case any glyphs exceed the WinAscent and WinDescent limits.

Re: Updating

The download links in the linked thread are still active if you want to update, but you don't need to, otherwise it would have been made available through the official update channel.

Re: Updating

The version 1029 in in this linked thread can be downloaded from the link in that thread, but it was never officially released. The Release History page is apparently out of date as I have build 1026. If you visit the MainType Download Page from a friend's house you can always download the latest ve...

Re: Clarendon

I am not familiar with Clarendon. Verajja Serif is a slab serif font face.

Re: Private Use characters

It's not standard for Small Capitals or any other glyphs used by OpenType features. See this contribution by Thomas Pinney to a discussion on the topic on Typedrawers. Having said that, there is no great harm in encoding these glyphs in the Private Use Area. FontCreator uses specific code-points in ...

It's difficult to get excited about Emojji. A search of TypeDrawers for the word only found my own thread on colour fonts.

Re: Preview panel

This issue was fixed. I don't remember when, but in FontCreator 10.1 you can type "/newline" to begin a new line in the Preview Toolbar.

Re: FontCreator Compatibility with Microsoft Keyboard layout Creator

I tried with several of my own fonts, and had no trouble loading the regular versions of any of them, but none of the italic, bold, or bold italic styles can be selected. I am using Windows 10 and version 1.4 of the layout creator.

The duplicates in the PUA are the redundant or legacy glyphs.

Re: Wickednesse

One thing that I am rather unsure about are the some of the things in the "Identification" tab in the font Properties. A typophile friend of mine said that my font should be considered "bold," based on how it looks -- but I have no additional "regular" version, this is...

Re: Wickednesse

Should I re-post my revised font as a new comment, or should I just edit my original post and swap out the new(er) font there once I'm done? I'm not sure what the usual practice is here in this forum. I would edit the first post to remove and update the attachment, then post a new reply to bump the...

Re: Wickednesse

Is this for the alt (non-oldstyle) numerals I have? What's a "lining figure" do? Lining figures align with the top of capitals (approximately) And what do I do with that bit of code -- copy/paste it into the code editor? Does it matter where, or just anywhere at all? It matters a lot. 1. ...

Re: Wickednesse

What the fudge -- my uppercase "H" is up too high off the baseline. I thought I fixed that! Oh well. If anyone sees anything else funny going on like that (or anything else), please do let me know! Tell me about it. I am currently editing Guru (again), which has gone through numero...

Re: FontCreator vs FontForge

The DLIG (digital signature) table identifies the font as OpenType *.otf. My fonts also have Omega duplicate. I think it's not a error The Tcedilla may be incorrectly mapped in your font. Use the icons in the Glyph Properties dialogue to name the glyph from its code-point, or to map the code-point f...
