Re: Major Re-config + Cloud use
Thank you for the clarification, Erwin. Allow me to seek another. I chose a Cloud drive as a way to maintain an unchanging version of my font collection and, therefore, the font database. My font collection on my computer is being added to constantly, which greatly limits the usefulness of Main Type...

Re: Major Re-config + Cloud use
Thank you for the swift reply, Bhikkhu. For the record, I do use the 64-bit version and with a high-end graphics pack of I forget how much RAM to speed up the loading of complex fonts in Main Type. The loss of speed I am worried about is from operating desktop-to-Cloud. That brings up the two main q...

Major Re-config + Cloud use
I turned off Main Type while I did a major housecleaning on my font database. I wish to turn it back on and want to know I am restarting in the most efficient way. Three questions: 1. I assume I use "config" to find out the database name and simply delete it, and Main Type will then start ...

Re: Font exports with glyphs misassigned
Thanks for the good suggestions. I should have made clear that, no, the file converted from Symbol worked fine. And I appear to be using the latest FC version, Erwin. On a hunch, I went back to the archive and copied in the original file. When I ran it through FC I got the right letters in the MT Pr...

Font exports with glyphs misassigned
I'm just getting started with ver. 11 on Windows 10 on a large project and have encountered problems outside my experience with earlier versions of FontCreator. 3 separate files of American Uncial, two by URW and one with no listed designer/publisher, needed fixes--two with contour problems on the O...

MT 7.0 install warning message
Shortly after I installed and registered MT 7.0, a message bar appeared stating that I had exceeded the 2500 font limit and that certain features of MT would therefore be closed. When I clicked on More Info, the bar disappeared and nothing else appeared. Please assure me I haven't lost any functiona...

Font Integrity
Now that I have finally compiled my font collection, I am switching from the bulldozer (MT 2) to the property manager (MT 5). I notice perhaps a third of my files have font integrity issues, usually multiple when they occur, that show up in that panel. The manual indicates such problems may hamper f...

Rebuilding the database in MT 5.0
I would like to delete the database and rebuild it in order to capture wholesale changes I've made to my font folders. What steps should I take?
