Re: Engraving Font

I'm wondering what the process would be to try to edit it well enough so it does get recognized by a program like that I put the image in the centre of a larger canvas in an image editor, and then applied a 'rectangular to polar' distortion followed by a threshold adjustment which allowed me to cre...

Re: What is the name of this forum's font?

The forum does not specify any font as far as I can tell, so the font used will depend on which browser you use to read the forum. Most browsers will use TNR by default to display unstyled text. The CSS for the forum specifies the following font stack for the "content" class: font-family:...

Re: modern Greek script font

As in many handwritten fonts, the strokes in the lambda in VAG Handwritten are rather curvy, but otherwise it's essentially the same as in most formal fonts, with two sloping strokes meeting at or near the x-height. The lambdas in the OP's examples are distinctively different, looking like a horizon...

Re: Unicode Brings Skin Tones to Snowboarders

Interesting! I'm now trying to get my head around the difference between a zero-width joiner (ZWJ) and a zero-width no-break space (ZWNBS). Likewise for the zero-width non-joiner and the zero-width space. :o

Re: Open Fonts in FontCreator

My immediate thought was that it would make sense for MainType to issue a warning, even though FontCreator already asks for confirmation if you try to open more than ten fonts at the same time, but then it occurred to me that MainType has no way of knowing how many other fonts FontCreator is set to ...
