I am not sure what you mean. What are you trying to achieve?

Re: Scaling a glyph while maintaining stroke width
That's the way to do it — I don't think there's any easier way. Experiment with some simple glyphs to check your transform values. Copy the glyph to the clipboard, and paste it back after performing the transform, then undo the paste while you're testing the transformation because there is no undo f...

Re: overlap, character position in Lao font
You really need to talk to others who use Lao fonts — we have no clue how well existing fonts work in different software, what keyboard layouts Lao users prefer, etc. OpenType fonts won't work on all software, but Word 2010 and PagePlus X5 or X6 support them, as well as expensive solutions like InDe...

Re: overlap, character position in Lao font
I have not used VOLT. Ask on their forums if you want help with it. I use the utility in the Tutorial thread that I linked to above to add ligatures, but I have no experience of adding vertical positioning features, which is what I think you need, not just ligatures. I am afraid you will have to wor...

Re: Installing fonts
I am not an expert on using MainType, but try Tools, Refresh Font Folders, then select the Recently Added filter. Select any font in the list, and use the toolbar icons or right-click menu to install them.

Re: overlap, character position in Lao font
Font A uses OpenType Features, which are not supported by FontCreator yet. You need to use other software such as Microsoft VOLT or the utility recommended in the tutorial thread on Adding OpenType Features after creating the glyphs with the correct Unicode glyph mappings and postscript names in Fon...

Re: Copy and Paste
All I can do with that is take a screen shot which is not going to show the problem.
I guess that's your best solution — display the flash and take a screen shot rather than using the built in copy function.

To scale a font up by 10% Edit, Select Composites Edit, Invert Selection Format, Settings, Header, and set funits/em to 1843 (assuming it is now 2048) Edit, Copy Format, Settings, Header, and set funits/em back to 2048 Edit, Paste Composites may need to be recomposed and kerning may need to be adju...

I thought I would be able to open this in my browser, but I don't know how to open it. Shockwave flash opens OK. How do you view it?

Can you attach the flash file as a zip archive?
Are you using a screen capture utility to grab it?

Re: Font Folders Display
The software is not mine — I am also a user. If you prefer a slow way, that's your choice. I think you can find a solution to all of your needs with MT4. Updating the font groups may take more than a few minutes with tens of thousands of fonts, but its not difficult. Newly added fonts can be filtere...

Re: Font Folders Display
This is an oversight. No. It was intentional. Users do not need to concern themselves with organising fonts into folders, though they can still do so if they wish. A database lets you find fonts instantly without caring where they are on the hard drive. Why waste your time doing tedious and pointle...

Re: paste on all characters
I don't think there is any way to do this. Scrolling to the next character using the keyboard is a bit faster than using the mouse — the shortcut is Alt Right.
