Re: Appearance of modified font not the same as the original
This did not work for me. I don't have the option of buying your software again. You don't have to buy a full new license; you can upgrade for $39 and it is well worth it. We obviously don't know your financial situation; for some people it is a similar to 3 pizzas, and for others it is a week sala...

Re: Kelvinch - a font for body text.
Kelvinch is now finished (I think, I hope). I have uploaded it to the Deviant Art website, I updated the version number to 3.1 because of the problems with the kern tables in 3.0 and the fact that I changed the positioning of most of the diacritic marks. Excellent work. Even though I'm not that fam...

Re: Appearance of modified font not the same as the original
On modifying a glyph's outline the original hinting will be lost. As Bhikkhu Pesala pointed out, more recent versions of FontCreator can auto hint your font on export. Considering all other improvements we made over the years, we highly recommend to upgrade to the latest version.

Re: Does anyone know which system font is missing?
I'm not sure but Segoe MDL2 Assets might contain some of the missing characters.

Re: Will a font created be able to be embedded in an ebook
The part about font embedding is indeed outdated, as prior version of FontCreator allowed you to set multiple embedding rights. Since it is no longer allowed to do so, we changed the user interface, but forgot to update the manual. I'll make sure this is fixed with the next upcoming release of FontC...

We've explained the settings in the manual. Which part needs clarification?

Re: Colors Join OpenType Font Format
The upcoming update of Windows 10, scheduled for this summer will most likely support OpenType SVG color fonts. This rumor comes from a very respectable person, so it must be true.
Great news, and this might be the best reason for us to start supporting this color format soon.

You can always send the files directly to me or through our contact page (which uses a ticket system).
There is indeed a bug as right now the 3rd kern subtable overflows, which results in a corrupt sub table. We will have a fix within a couple of days.

Re: Use of [Calculate] button
Am I right in supposing that this change doesn't effect the glyphs at all but is to be thought of as a 'recommendation' to a word processor? It doesn't change the glyph outline, it is meant to provide a typographically correct default line spacing. ps Did you enjoy the spring break? Today it is sno...

Re: Kelvinch - a font for body text.
The server can handle large files, but the forum has some limits to prevent spam, so no worries.
The font looks great.
I noticed the kern lookup contains an empty (3rd) sub table. I suspect this is due to a bug in FontCreator. Can you send me the font project file(s)?
