Re: Font Folders Display
When adding folder to your Font Library use the option to create groups. MainType 4 uses a database approach and doesn't care about paths or folders. Use the groups pane to view the fonts in any group. A group is like a filter on a database, which shows only fonts in the database that match a patter...

Re: Double Point feature
Since nodes can only be placed at integer x,y co-ordinates, adding more nodes than necessary is always going to distort the curve slightly due to rounding errors. That's why I still wonder what the advantage is of doing this?

Re: Double Point feature
The two curves will be very similar, but not identical. I don't see the point of the exercise, but its quite easy to do already. With the off-curve point selected, press shortcut "a" to add an on-curve point Marquee select the on-curve point plus the preceding on curve point Press shortcut...

Re: UPDATE NOT WORKING
The Rename index entry for page 28 is in the MT4 manual, but the entry is not. The index needs updating I think, that's all. There's no "Smart Font Operations" on age 17 either: - R - Register 3 Rename font 28 - S - Sample 19 Shortcut 15, 24, 28 Smart font operations 17 Sort fonts 25 Syste...

Bottleneck Regular — there are several versions all much the same.
The script font is harder to identify. What the Font? cannot separate the letters.

Re: Applying many transformations
The only way I can think of is to manually sort your font in rows, inserting empty glyphs wherever necessary, using copy and paste special to copy mappings, and all font data.
That will make it much easier to select blocks for making transformations, with click and shift click, or click and drag.

Re: Applying many transformations
This is a serious defect with bold transformation (and some others). It would be better to have the transformation work on a percentage of the stroke weight rather than a fixed value. Erwin already knows this, but I suspect that its not trivial to fix. The work-around if glyphs have High Contrast is...

You need to upgrade to Word 2010 to get OpenType support.Rayden wrote:So, Word 2007 doesn't support it??
PagePlus X5 also supports OpenType Features, and is currently available at a discount, which is usually an indication that a new version is not many months away.
