Re: Beyond 65K Characters
Very impressive, Erwin, but what's the explanation for the strange totals in some of the Unicode ranges (e.g. Greek and Coptic 144/134)?

When I re-export the font, it works for me regardless of whether or not I've sorted it by Unicode codepoints.Bhikkhu Pesala wrote:Open your project file.
Tools, Sort font, by Unicode code-points.
Then export the font again. That will fix it.

Re: Kerning Pairs?
Kerning pairs are for adjusting the spacing between two glyphs (e.g. making 'A' and 'V' closer together when you type 'AV'). What you're asking about is replacing a sequence of glyphs with a single glyph: this is a standard ligature, for which you should use the OpenType liga feature.

Thanks. Please rest assured that I have no plans to meddle with that file!Bhikkhu Pesala wrote:It is very user-friendly, so I think you can work out what it does. As with all code, syntax is crucial. Make backups before meddling with the file, which is found in the installation folder\Composites\ subfolder.

The latter method will scale the dot down by 85% and move it to the middle of the Caps Height. Is there an explanation of this anywhere? There is very little detail in the FontCreat...

Re: How do I get Word to recognize new characters?????
Thank you for the clarification. :) I think the answer I was looking for is as folllows (I have now determined): 1. In Font Creator, you open your font. Then you go to the Insert New Character Function, where you get the big green grid. 2. Scroll down until it says: Supplementary Private Use Area-A ...
