We totally agree, this would be a really nice feature.
Unfortunately we don't have enough resources to implement it right now.

Re: Help with variable font, kerning disruption
It works just fine here, so if you see issues, please provide more information so we can understand the problem you still face.

Re: vendor id issue.
A day if you are lucky, but it might take a couple of weeks.
I think they will honour most requests, so it might be worth the risk and use the Vendor ID, even if it is not approved yet.

Re: The function of reading a prepared list of pairs of characters to simplify kerning.
2. If you are missing any glyphs, you get compiling errors when trying to close the OpenType editor. You have to go through your text file using *.missing glyph.* to wipe all the lines with missing glyphs before you can close the OpenType editor. In the code editor there is an option to ignore unkn...

It depends on the shaping engine and the rareness and complexity of your OpenType layout features.
In general, the font is fine, if it works in your web browser.

I have no idea what is going on.
A sample project with a couple of characters that illustrates the problem would help.

Re: Serif / Sans listed incorrectly
Yes, I found that one, but it's not terribly helpful. Perhaps if there was a bold column, and a few more for advanced categorization columns? I still haven't found the feature to enable the Panose column, so I guess it's gone now?? Yes, it is gone. It is too hard to sort by Panose, as it is actuall...

Re: Serif / Sans listed incorrectly
EDIT: Oh, and I don't care who you are, Century Gothic has exactly zero serif's in it. ;) Yes, that is horrible. I can't believe they put that false information in the font file.
