Re: MT4 font preview doesn't work anymore
Maybe you toggled it off with the icon to the left of the Font Preview drop list?

Re: Are the GPOS and GSUB tables deleted
Here is a screen shot of the unsupported tables in an OpenType *.otf font. As you can see, the GSUB tables are still present. Since you're only modifying an accent I don't envisage there will be any problems. Check in Tools, Options, Font, that FontCreator is not set to strip any tables on loading, ...

Re: Align Toolbar
They alter the z-order of the contours. I have used them occasionally when editing nodes with the keyboard. The z-order will determine which contour is selected with shortcut keys. Contour 0 will be selected first with the W (Next Contour/Node) shortcut. Say that you're editing the letter B, which h...

Re: Kerning Test
My averages for three runs were 82, 85, then 93.
I tried the test several times when this thread was first posted. Then my highest average was 91.

Re: Double Point feature
I just draw the extra stroke, then use Get Union of Contours, but that's not available in the Home Edition. Its very useful for building glyphs from pieces of other glyphs, e.g. p + l = Þ or O + / = Ø.Mike Thompson wrote:Thanks vannisaac,

[FIXED] Incomplete Messages on Font Installation Dialogue
I tried changing my message box font from Verdana 10 to Tahoma 8, but it didn't make any difference.
I still cannot read the entire message on the Font Installation wizard dialogue. ... even when you are just ... what? Click Back if you want ... to what?

High-Logic Font Installer 1.0
I have just uninstalled MainType 3 since MainType 4 does everything that I need.
I see that there is still a program called "High-Logic Font Installer 1.0" — is that required by FontCreator 6.5 or MainType 4 or can it be uninstalled now?

Re: Importing DXF vector drawings
Did you have to join each point manually with the tool you use or did this happen automatically? In PagePlus (or DrawPlus) I have to join the end points one at a time, but snapping makes it quite easy. I can get a decent result pasting a 600 dpi bitmap of your font grabbed from the PDF. Is it inten...

Re: Is it possible to write a macro to automatically mix gl
There are plenty of macro-recorder utilities available — including some free ones.
Try a Google search for "Keyboard Macro Utility."
Macro programming is not built in to FontCreator, though one can do some automated Transformations to rotate or resize glyphs.

Re: Importing DXF vector drawings
They are in the PDF. I don't have Adobe Illustrator, and have never used it, but the paths need to be continuous, not separate lines.sascher wrote:Of course the endpoints of the lines in the drawings are not broken apart.
Have you tried drawing directly in FornCreator? It would save all these extra steps.
