Aman is from Adobe...Welcome, Aman! Aman, you'll get pretty much the same answer wherever you post this (and have). It is simply not a useful concept. Please have the ID team (and the other teams) concentrate on bug fixes versus solutions awaiting a problem. Alternatively to pure bug fixes, run thro...

Re: Nutso font doesn’t work correctly

@Mike I'm newcomer in font design and FontDesigner, what is WRT? in CC2018 the templates work only in InDesign. however when I write in InDesign its not possible to have the same result. OK. I just reread your statement. I had meant had you tried the templates contained at the link I posted above? ...

Re: Nutso font doesn’t work correctly

World Ready Composer = WRC: I accidentally used a T at the end instead of C... The AI template should have opened fine in AI. It works fine in ID & AI CS6. If it doesn't in ID CC2018 then that points to either a problem that has crept in or one actually has to use an ME version (ME = Middle East...

Re: Nutso font doesn’t work correctly

OK. For versions of Illy that do not have the World Ready Composer (WRC), it can be turned on by opening a template that has been made using ME versions. Here's a screen shot of the WRC turned on in my non-ME version of Illy CS6: capture-002341.png One such template I found is available at Thomas Ph...

Re: Nutso font doesn’t work correctly

My AI CS6 doesn't implement marks. I suspect the newest version does as I don't think there is anything special needed to turn on the ME features (for which in older AI versions, the actual ME version is required...though I believe it can be scripted, ID can). My ID CS6 works properly as long as one...

Re: Editorial (news) font classification?

I think the closest classification you are going to get is Modern. Early on they were called "Classical" until it was decided they were new designs and they began being called "Modern." Neo-Classical would be another term you may find. They inherit some of the Didone's attributes...

Re: Identify a font

You are most welcome, tonik!

fwiw, these types of script fonts come out a dozen or more a week. It is often difficult to tell them apart. For whatever reason, this one was easily recognized by the software I use (which is typically superior to the on-line identification places).

Any difference in shape from one character to another from one font to another can/will affect what is good practice. As well, some designers will have looser/tighter bearings on the same font than others would. This isn't like bearing tolerances or engineering for lift-load capacities, nor ... My p...
