Can you send the font file to me, so I can investigate the problem?

Also could you provide me more information about your O.S.?

The best and fastest way to give your font a name is to select AutoNaming from the Tools menu (available since version 3.1.2). Edit the Font family name and press the Next button. On the next page press the Finish button. This ensures all required fields are correctly updated.

In the Tables window available through the Format menu you probably have to remove an internal table named VDMX (Vertical device metrics). If this table is available in the font, it should be located on the Unsupported page. If Windows does not locate this table in a font, it will calculate those va...

The top and bottom bearings are equal to WinAscent and WinDescent (the ascender and descender metrics) located on the Windows tab. In order to change the values click Settings on the Format menu and then click the Windows tab.

The Symbol font works just fine after I removed Latin1 (1252) from the Code Page Ranges Settings on my Win98 machine. Some rules that concern Symbol fonts: - Symbol Character Set should be the only selected Code Page Range . -No Unicode Character Ranges should be selected when designing a Symbol fon...

The font has mappings for both Microsoft Unicode and Microsoft Symbol. A font should have only one Microsoft platform. Read the help file about the differences between Unicode and Symbol and then decide which platform you want to remove.

About the font you sent to me, in both glyphs there are contours way outside the visible area (use the shortcut CTRL-A to select all contours). Removing those contours will solve the problem.

Maybe the outlines are too complex.

Both files you sent to me work just fine.

Make sure you have typed upper case "A" and "B" in the text field to see your creation. It won't work if you are typing lower case characters.

Maybe the outlines are out of the Glyph's bounding box.

Any mouse pointer will do, as long as the 'hit point' (usually the end of the arrow) is correctly defined by the designer of the mouse pointer.

Apple does not have a Unicode Encoding ID as Microsoft does. Therefore Mac computers rely on Platform ID 0 (Unicode) for doing Unicode fonts as the primary source for their cmap table.

Times New Roman includes mappings for the Unicode, Macintosh and Microsoft platform.
