This is another color font made with FontCreator.
http://babelstone.co.uk/Fonts/FlagsTest.html
Currently the font has no standard fallback outline in case your browser can't display color fonts. September 2014 only Mozilla Firefox (all platforms!) and Microsoft Internet Explorer (on Windows 8.1) can display color fonts, but I'm sure Chrome, Safari and others will follow soon.
A very nice way to show the benefits of color fonts. The font is still under construction (the Dutch flag is missing).

The Encoding used is for Enclosed Alphaumeric Supplement:
U+1F1EA REGIONAL INDICATOR SYMBOL LETTER D
U+1F1E9 REGIONAL INDICATOR SYMBOL LETTER E
U+1F1F8 REGIONAL INDICATOR SYMBOL LETTER S
etc.
U+1F1EA REGIONAL INDICATOR SYMBOL LETTER D
U+1F1E9 REGIONAL INDICATOR SYMBOL LETTER E
U+1F1F8 REGIONAL INDICATOR SYMBOL LETTER S
etc.
I agree that this could be useful for web sites to show country flags.Unicode Code Chart wrote:Regional indicator symbols
These characters can be used in pairs to represent regional codes. In some emoji implementations, certain pairs may be recognized and displayed by alternate means; for instance, an implementation might recognize F + R and display this combination with a symbol representing the flag of France.

Re: BabelStone Flags Test Page
Here is an experimental font project with a few flags.
This is screen shot of the WOFF test in Firefox 32.
If anyone wants to create their own font, this may give them a start. It needs some work. I designed the flag glyphs on the x-height.
On second thoughts, the Font File is probably more useful than the project file, then users of FontCreator 7.5 can also open it.
