Layout: how to drag panes horizontally aligned

Post by warrenP »

I just purchased MainType and love it. Great app!

I'm trying to have the "zoom" pane positioned next to the "sample" pane on a horizontal alignment. I am only able to move the zoom above or below another pane. I notice that one of the layout presets does have this ability (e.g. default layout), but not when I move things around and try it myself.

any suggestions?

Just keep clicking and dragging, and double-clicking until you figure it out. As you noticed, that is possible in the default layout, so there must be something odd that you're trying to achieve.

Take a look at my MainType Review, and see if that helps.

Thanks for the reply. I've played with it extensively and cannot get it to obey. All I want is for the characters to be on the bottom right, and the sample and zoom on the upper right.
No worries - I can live with it.

Not all permutations are possible, but you can find a solution.

Drag the Zoom toolbar above the Fonts toolbar, top left.
Drag the Sample toolbar above the Character toolbar, bottom right.
