Saving Custom Layouts

Post by Bhikkhu Pesala »

It is not difficult to create and save a custom layout for the docking panels, but where is this layout saved?

If something gets messed up in MainType, it is often quicker to uninstall and reinstall than to figure out what to do to fix the problem. Reinstalling takes about ten minutes to rebuild my font database, but then it takes another ten to recreate my custom layouts.

Is there a registry key somewhere ?

It is saved in the database, so you can't manually modify it.

This might help:
From the main menu, select View -> Layout -> Restore Factory Layout

It's the Custom Layouts that I want to save, not the default layout.

We could add export and import layout functionality; I'll add it to the to-do list.
