It does not go anywhere. It is just uninstalled and removed from the list of installed fonts.
Like a thread that was posted in the wrong forum does not get deleted, it just gets a different reference when the moderator moves it.
MainType adds every font to its database and it will remain there so that you can reinstall it again later. If you delete it, it will be added to a list of ignored fonts, but it is still in the database.

thank you for your reply.
So if a font is in the "system/fonts" folder you open maintype and set to font to be uninstalled.
Where is the font file moved to ? so it could be installed again...?
it is no longer in the list of fonts ?
Am I missing something - is it not using the mechanics of making a copy of the font file...when its installed ?
