Maintype 5.1.2.701 on win10

Hi, i am trying to install maintype 5.1.2.701 on windows 10 and have some strange behaviors: Some font are marked in red, (essentialy banhschrift) and i am unable to create font folders. Is there some incompatibilities of maintype 5 with win10?

Ok, i was not making font folders the right way, it's working now. But some fonts remains red (unknown) despite being in use by windows.

Version 5.0 is very old now. There have been many improvements since then.
See the review page in my forum signature. You can try out the free version for as long as you want, but make backups first in case you want to revert to MainType 5.0.
Comparison Table of different versions. The free version is only for non commercial use, and supports only 2,500 fonts.

That version is 8 years old, so no wonder it has compatibility issues. Still nice to know you have been able to install it on Windows 10.
More recent versions of Windows introduced per user font installations and variable fonts. Both are not supported in older versions of MainType. Besides this, a lot of other improvements have been incorporated into MainType, so we strongly recommend to upgrade to the latest version.

OK, i've moved on maintype 10 free. Everything is working fine. Great upgrade.
