It would be great if it can generate Character Map like this:
Not sure how viable is this but it can be use for detailed font generation.

You can use the Print Command and print to a PDF printer driver. This one was done at a Windows 125% display setting, so the font is a bit too big (30 pt instead of 24pt), but it's easy enough to print a character set.

No, that is not possible. You can view all characters as well as all glyphs within MainType.
If more people think this is an important improvement, we will certainly consider adding it in a future release.
