Access violation error [Closed]

Post by Ronno »

Hi,
I have just installed the updated version of MainType 3.0 which replaced my
licenced version of Maintype 2.
Unfortunately when I try to print I get the following error message:
"Access violation at 0076C6F7 in module "MainType.exe". Read of address
00000048".
I use 64bit Windows Vista.
This bug was already present in the previous version of the software but I
see that it has not been resolved.
Is there a way to resolve the problem?

Thanks
Ron

This bug has been confirmed and will be fixed as soon as you update MainType to the latest version we released earlier today.

We've finally discovered why some users running MainType on Vista x64 can't print. See:
DocumentProperties fails from UAC-elevated process

Unfortunately it is something we can't fix, as it is a flaw in Windows Vista x64. Nevertheless, we are working on a new major release that won't be affected by this issue...
