Does anyone know what the setting is to type right to left?
Is there a setting?
I need to type from right to left like this:
............siht ekil tfel ot thgir morf epyt ot deen i
I will try to take a right to left font (arabic) and add the english characters/glyphs into the set to see if that works.
But is there a setting somewhere in properties that says that a set of characters it is to be used right to left??
i do not want to change every application software to do this....is there a setting within the font itself?
I look forward to your replies,
thanks.

This goes against the whole concept of how fonts are supposed to work.ted1980 wrote:I will try to take a right to left font (arabic) and add the english characters/glyphs into the set to see if that works.
There is a special right-to-left override character defined in Unicode ($202E) that instructs the text processor, rasterizer, or software to display characters from right-to-left.
I'm not sure if it works in all browsers, but here is the text "hello world!" preceded with this special character:
hello world!
As soon as a new line is detected this override stops.
You might want to read more about the Unicode Bidirectional Algorithm.
Re: typing right to left
is it possible to place this special unicode in front of each glyphs own unicode to make it permanent?

No, you can't mix characters and glyphs.ted1980 wrote:is it possible to place this special unicode in front of each glyphs own unicode to make it permanent?
Have you thought about using a mirror instead

something to do with "ligatures" might help if anyone knows how to access them.
