Hi,
I just know very basic on creating font type by using font creator. my issue is when the font type(image) was created and put in use it has margins on the 4 sides of the font, it causes no enough space for it. I have checked the image which we use to make the font it has no margins when I opened in the Painter. Where in the application allows me to adjust the margins?
Please help,
Thanks very much,
Tang

You can use Autometrics on the Tools Menu.
The Professsional Edition will calculate the left and right side-bearings for you using Optical Metrics.
In the Home Edition, you can set the side-bearings to a fixed value. In either version, you can set the side-bearings for each glyph in the Glyph Edit Window using the Glyph Properties Dialogue (F3) or the Transform Toolbar (F6).
The bearings can also be moved by dragging them with the mouse to do it by eye.
Use an alphabet in the Preview Toolbar (F8) to get an over view of the full set of letters together.
