Erwin...why shouldn't I...

Post by lindeymagee »

save the ttf file directly to my windows font folder?
Won't it be a pain for me to have access to the font in word and other softwares that use fonts?
Just curious, and if I did  save a font file directly to the window's font folder what should I expect??

Sometimes Windows will try to automatically install a font when it is saved to the Windows font folder. This could cause several problems.

Installing fonts should be done through the Install option from Windows fonts folder or within the Font Creator Program. Both ways you will have an option to save a copy to Windows fonts folder. I would recommend you to use this option, so you will always have a backup file.

If you are reinstalling the font, it is recommended you uninstall (delete) the font BEFORE installing the new version.
