The following webspace is interesting.

http://www.typecon.com/

An interesting link from that page is as follows.

http://www.typegallery.com/

The heading is in a mosaic design. I am thinking about how that effect could be produced using a set of TrueType fonts. I am thinking that nine fonts would be needed, one for each colour. Wow!

I produced a two-colour effect using two fonts in the following document.

http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~ngo/enamel.PDF

It is accessible from the following web page.

http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~ngo/fonts.htm

So, maybe I can try to add one or more fonts to that set of fonts so as to get a three or more colour effect.

The http://www.typegallery.com/ webspace has an interesting section VIEW PAST EXHIBITS.

I am finding these fascinating to study.

In particular, TypeGallery2003 has, on the last two pages, some views of the hardcopy exhibition taking place.

The font set might be easier to use if you use the bold, italic, and bold italic attributes for the different colours. Same outlines, same weight, but different tiles.

I have now produced the Galileo Lettering Mosaic font and posted a note in the Galileo Lettering font thread in the Gallery forum.

I found the following earlier this morning.

http://www.typeradio.org/loudblog/

I have already listened to Typeradio - Ed Rondthaler (founder of ITC) 1 of 3 and am now loading Typeradio - Carol Wahler 2 of 4.

I have a Windows 98 PC and it loads slower than it plays, so I start it off, pause it and then let it load some more then play some more and so on. This by using the buttons within the green panel.

Some photographs found on the web.

http://flickr.com/groups/typecon/pool/tags/typecon2005/

They are thumbnails, clicking on a picture gets a larger view of that picture.

Also, http://flickr.com/photos/karlfrankowski/ has more typecon2005 photos.

I found this one. This is a real treat. I won't telegraph the enjoyment by stating what it is here!
