The development font Pixel Text 014 in the file PTEXT014.TTF is available on the web.

The font includes some alternative glyphs in U+E426 to U+E42A, decimal 58406 to 58410.
These were added ready for producing an OpenType version of the font and so that a question about the OpenType specification could be posed in this Specification forum.
If an OpenType version of the font were produced, then the alternate t glyph (at U+E426 decimal 58406 in this font) could be included and the ct ligature glyph (at U+E707 decimal 59143 in this font) could be included.
The question is this: if an OpenType version of the font were produced, could the alternate ct ligature glyph (at U+E427 decimal 58407) be included in the font and accessed as an alternate to the ordinary ct ligature glyph using application programs which use OpenType fonts?

This post has been edited by the author on 30 June 2006 so as to change the version of the font as the previous version had two errors, unconnected to this question, and has been deleted from the web. Other changes to the wording have also been made as a consequence.
