Map Symbols for Trees

I have been thinking of making a font for Map Symbols for Trees, starting from symbols already in use and devising some new symbols for various types of tree.

I found the following web page that includes some Japanese Map Symbols for trees.

There are designs for Coniferous Trees, Palm Trees and Broadleaf Trees.
