A thread by new user Spora disappeared for some reason that I don't understand. This is the sequence of events:
- Spora's original post had no image attached
- I replied asking to attach the image
- Another post awaiting approval contained the image and the first post now contained the image
- I deleted my own reply and the one awaiting approval, which was apparently an edit of the first post, and not a new one.
- The thread disappeared (but I was able to recover the image by using the back button).
- I have now sent a private message to Spora after the first apparently failed.
Here is the image. What is this font?

Hate those fonts which mix upper and lower case shapes. Too hard to match.
Nicely done, Alfred.

Thanks, Dick. I just hope that the disappearance of the original thread doesn't deter Spora from making a return visit!

When I first visited this thread, I saw your statement
A thread by new user Spora disappeared for some reason that I don't understand.
accompanied by the relevant image, but I didn't see your explanation of the sequence of events.
4. I deleted my own reply and the one awaiting approval, which was apparently an edit of the first post, and not a new one.
I believe it's a standard feature of phpBB and other popular forum software that deletion of the first post in a thread results in deletion of the entire thread.
