[Resolved] Different look of kerning pairs

Post by mimic24 »

Hello.

I have an issue with the different look of kerning pairs in Font Creator 8.0 - Preview (F8) versus Adobe Photoshop.

Is one of them correct?

Unfortunatelly none of the kerning pairs was correct. There is the screenshot from FCP file and the Photoshop. The blue pairs are not "kerned", looks OK, the black ones are "kerned" and look different in FontCreator and in Photoshop.

BUT… I probably found where I did the mistake. I used OpenType Designer and OpenType Layout feature Editor. I set up kerning pairs in both, so PairAdjustement appears twice in exported OTF file (there are 2 the same PairAdjustment tables - one from Designer, one from Layout Feature Editor)...

… so I deleted 1 of them and now it looks OK now :)

Thank you for clarifying. I'm glad to know you did find the cause of the problem and were able to fix it so easy!

I thank you for great software! It was actually my fault, I should follow the basic rule - "RTFM" - and read how to export font in "4.5 Export a Font" topic.
