The subject says it all. I'm seeing two different spacings in the preview toolbar than the open designer, so I have to guess the distance in open designer and then check preview...
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a simple solution I'm overlooking because I didn't see anyone else with this problem. And this was not a problem in version 8.
Running 8.1 64bit Fontcreator 9.
Thanks ahead of time.

I am not sure if this is a bug or not, but it seems to happen if the glyph has an offset (see the red bar in the OpenType Designer preview window).
Check the glyph properties toolbar and remove the offset by dragging the left side-bearing to the y-axis and resetting the advance width.

This is indeed a drawing bug, which will be solved with the next upcoming update.
