Try making a sample cross-hatching in a blank glyph window, copy it to the clipboard, then paste it into each glyph of your font then delete the unwanted cross hatching in each one.

Hi kpkale & All other interested folks --

I have completed (after a long period of inactivity - sorry) a time test of doing cross-hatching. It's 24 minutes for 6 letters. This, however, does not include "rest time" between letters. Over an entire font, there would be many for sure. To be safe, I would double it....

With respect to your question, I am not sure I understand the problem, but the process I have developed will enable one to apply any given cross-hatch to any "glyph". The short coming (from your perspective I think) is the cross-hatch pattern is not changeable "on the fly" so to speak. The process I use establishes the cross-hatch first and then applies it to a font. If this is of interest, perhaps we can chat further...
