If FCP only creates True Type for PC, why the section for Mac naming and copyright information?

For historical reasons some applications, which install or use fonts, perform version control using values in the Macintosh platform. Because of this, it is recommended that Macintosh platform exists in all fonts and that the syntax of the Version string follows the guidelines given in the Naming section in the help file.
