UPDATE NOT WORKING

I just upgraded to 4 after a Windows crash and it doesn't seem to work properly. I am uninstalling all the W7 foreign fonts but after three are done it starts loading instead. Can't find a way to stop this and continue uninstalling.
Also, rename fonts is missing. It is listed in the Help Index but text about config appears.
The pdf Manual lists Rename Fonts - page 28 but it is all about deletions.
Had no problems with version 3.

It looks like Windows tries to reinstall the fonts, but I'm not sure. What happens if you try to uninstall one of them through Windows fonts folder?

Make sure you open the manual for version 4.

Renaming font file names is obsolete, as with MainType 4 the file names no longer matter.

I work with Corel Draw X5 and the font pull down now has listings like this:
NOT FOUND Kartika
NOT FOUND Levenim

Could there be a conflict with Bitstream Navigator?

That's correct, as it is no longer available.

This confuses me. Do let me know if they revert back after a reboot of your computer.

No, but it is likely Font Navigator fails and still thinks the fonts are available, but can't find them. A reboot should solve that as well.

The Rename index entry for page 28 is in the MT4 manual, but the entry is not.

The index needs updating I think, that's all. There's no "Smart Font Operations" on age 17 either:

I reinstalled Corel Draw without Bitstream Navigator, which I never use anyway, and the font list now looks normal.
The foreign language fonts are all uninstalled which is what I wanted from MainType.
This program was recommended on a Windows 7 forum as being the only fast, reliable way to uninstall those fonts
and much safer than many suggested remedies such as messing around in the registry.

The Bitstream Font Navigator is used by CorelDRAW when missing fonts have to be substituted, if I recall it correctly. That's why I use to install it.
