Re: Google Proposal for New Emojji Characters
In Dutch media it is also mentioned Google wants to include male emoji icons for these professions as well.
A couple of years ago I thought a color font battle was unavoidable, and now it seems organizations are starting to argue about which emoji icons should be included and why they can't look exactly the same on different hardware.

Re: Google Proposal for New Emojji Characters
I just noticed that these Emojji glyphs have about 3,000 unique colours, so FontCreator could not realistically be used to create them until gradients are available.

Most of the flat emoji (i.e. excluding Apple, Samsung, LG and Facebook) should look OK with only four colours, or perhaps even three.Bhikkhu Pesala wrote:I just noticed that these Emojji glyphs have about 3,000 unique colours, so FontCreator could not realistically be used to create them until gradients are available.
