Aligning Glyphs

Post by Blasphemoose »

Hi, I'm currently trying to figure out how to properly align my glyphs to the baseline/guidelines and have been running into issues. I'll attach and use my comma as an example. I'm trying to align it so it sits neatly on the baseline, but because it descends slightly I can't just change the lower y position to 0 and call it a day. So instead what I get is it jumping just above and below the baseline when I try and adjust it without ever going where I want it.

How can I get it to sit on the baseline properly?`

Additionally, it seems like the bounding box for the glyph doesn't properly match up with where the actual vector shapes lie. Why is this the case?
