It would be AWESOME to be able to hide (and unhide) fonts from the main view in MainType. This could include Windows system fonts or others you do not want to have to scroll through when looking at fonts, but you don't want to delete/remove, either.
Perhaps the hidden fonts could become a "Predefined View" so that users could look through the fonts they've hidden and choose to UNHIDE them at will.
It would also be great if we could hide/unhide entire groups.

Re: Hide fonts from MainType (not remove)
If you create groups and nested groups with them, then you scroll through the groups instead of the Active Fonts or Font Library views. The Professional version also allows you to create custom views.
Re: Hide fonts from MainType (not remove)
Yes, this is true. I use the Professional version and have custom views.
1. That does not address my suggestion of hiding fonts that you never want to see.
2. Perhaps a more useful suggestion would be to provide a way to search only within predefined or custom views or only within certain groups. Currently, the only option when searching is to search THE ENTIRE LIBRARY.
