add new alternate
add new alternate
I have added .ss01, but when I open it in my Affinity software, some alternate letters are not showing.
What I must do after I add .ss01?

Re: add new alternate
Have you made sure stylistic set 01 includes all these substitutions? You can confirm this by taking a look at the OpenType Designer dialog.

Re: add new alternate
There is a lot of helpful information in the user guide. Adding OpenType features to a font is largely automated, and no coding is usually necessary; unlike in older versions.
The OpenType Designer is open in your screenshot, but no features have been added to your font. After adding suitable glyphs, which you have done, you need to add a feature or features that make use of them.
Click the icon at the top left of the dialog to select the features that you wish to add.
Adding OpenType Layout Features Automatically. Clear all the checkboxes, then select the features that you wish to add to your font. (Stylistic Alternates).

Re: add new alternate
You have added the Stylistic Set feature and lookup, but no script. I would expect that to be added automatically, but it is not. Trying adding the Latin script with default language first, then add the Stylistic Sets.

Re: add new alternate
Look at the first screenshot. The lookup is not used!
Edit the Stylistic Set feature to use that lookup.
If that does not fix the issue, send the font to Erwin. Without the font, I have to do too much guessing.

Re: add new alternate
It should look like this:
Also note the glyph order is not correct, as the first glyph should always be the .notdef glyph. You can use Sort Glyphs -> Design Mode from the Tools menu to correct the order.
