ViewPanel has huge gaps between entries
ViewPanel has huge gaps between entries
The Views window in MainType 12.0 Professional Edition shows very large gaps between the entries, which is very annoying.
Trying to enlarge the window by dragging the bottom edge leads to even larger gaps between the subentries under Predefined Views.

Re: ViewPanel has huge gaps between entries
I see the opposite bug. On resizing the Views Panel, the spacing becomes much tighter, but there is obviously a bug here.

Re: ViewPanel has huge gaps between entries
Here it obviously works just fine, but we have made some adjustments which should solve the problem.

That is good to know!
@abackhaus did it solve the problem for you as well?

That also fixes it for me.
The only thing I notice at first glance is that the application is closed again after startup and then reopened - at least the application window is completely closed again during the startup procedure and then reopened. It takes some getting used to ..
PS: Thanks for the quick response and sorry for my late reply - somehow the forum didn't inform me - probably my fault

Re: ViewPanel has huge gaps between entries
I can confirm that the application window disappears briefly after startup.
Not a big issue, but slightly distracting.

Re: ViewPanel has huge gaps between entries
I am glad to hear the glitch is solved!
We have just released an update that improves the way the font manager is started. Within MainType select Help -> Check for Updates to get it.

That is much better. The speed of your responses is as impressive as ever.
The UI also looks much sharper.

Re: ViewPanel has huge gaps between entries
Yes, this is much better and above all very fast! Thank you for your quick response and help.
It would be nice if the FontCreator would start as quickly. It might also be worth checking there to see if the magic trick might also work there ....

Re: ViewPanel has huge gaps between entries
Ups, I must have rejoiced too soon. The startup problem (additional opening and closing of the program window) was gone right after the update - but now it's still there. I checked it several times this time.Erwin Denissen wrote: ↑Tue Apr 30, 2024 9:24 am I am glad to hear the glitch is solved!

Re: ViewPanel has huge gaps between entries
No. This makes it worse. On changing the layout, MainType disappears from view, though the icon is still on the taskbar.Erwin Denissen wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 7:01 am Does this update solve the issue?

Yes, it starts maximised - just clicking the desktop icon
