A table of bearing lines, advance widths

I'd love to be able to call up a table showing the left and right (and possibly top and bottom) bearing line position for each glyph; and also the difference between the two (i.e. the height and width of the glyph.)
And, as long as I'm asking, to be able to sort by any of these numbers.
And if the numbers could be changed within the table, so much the better.
This would make it easy to see which glyphs are a bit too high or low; and to standardize widths. With the Lao alphabet, where vowels and tone marks can appear above or below characters, it's useful to quickly see what are the widest and narrowest glyphs.
And, finally, it would make it easier to see which bearing lines moved when I wasn't looking.
