Trouble getting naming changes to display

I found a typo in the copywright notice field of an an old font I created and was trying to correct it. When I make the change by manually entering it in the naming field and saving the font, the new information does not display when I use the windows font viewer.

I have tried uninstalling the original font from the font folder just to insure that the computer is not reading from the font folder, but there was no change.

Is this a problem with my system or a bug in Font Creator? (I am using Version 5.6 and never had this problem with older versions)

Delete the font cache file: C:\WINDOWS\system32\FNTCACHE.DAT (or on Windows 95/98/Me C:\Windows\ttfCache) and reboot to let Windows regenerate it.

That should solve the problem.

That, to my chagrin, didn't work.

The edited copyright string field is still not displaying correctly.

You can send me the font to look at if you want. Tell me the Copyright string that you see and what you want to see.

It is the case that FontView will show the info from the installed font. This is very confusing when you thought you opened the edited, uninstalled font.

You need to change it for each and every platform.

Uninstalling the original font solved the problem. Thank you!
