Please zoom in for a closer look at what appears perhaps to be a sign made of ceramic panels.

In this view, as well as the name Raffaello in a Roman face, there is also the word Caffè in script.

The artist, also known as Raphael, was born in Urbino.

Regarding the lettering used for the word Caffè, it might be signwriting, yet with modern OpenType font technology, a font could be made such that such an ffè ligature were automatically substituted when the font is used with an OpenType aware application program.

In the User Photos section, amongst those with the smaller preview images, is a close up photograph of the word Caffè.
