This is not listed as a shortcut on the Edit menu and I do not see it listed in Help either.
If backspace is pressed when a glyph or glyphs are selected in the glyph overview, the glyph or glyphs are made empty.
This is naughty. I was trying to delete some text in the Find dialogue, but focus was still on the glyph overview. There were five entries in the Undo history for "make empty" but only the one selected glyph was deleted.

Re: Backspace Makes Glyph Empty
Hah, thanks, BP.
I had this happen once and couldn't soon after replicate it so I assumed it was just a glitch.
I rather like there is a "shortcut" for Make Empty—just not this one.

Re: Backspace Makes Glyph Empty
What about Ctrl + Delete?
That currently deletes a glyph, but I don't think it should.

Re: Backspace Makes Glyph Empty
Yes I think ctrl + delete for make empty makes sense semantically.

I agree, CTRL-Delete is better, so we'll change it with the next upcoming release.
