Brilliant! I use Affinity Designer and Scanahand ...and FontCreator!
I insert Scanahand templates in Affinity Designer as artboards, so it's easy to get an overview and draw/edit all the characters in the same document (without needing to flip pages). Then exporting artboards as png files. Importing to Scanahand. And finally finishing the font in FontCreator.

how you make scanahand template became artboard in AD ?..

I do not use Affinity Designer myself and do not know the answer to your question.
