Re: Composites not all generated in FC12
So this issued has been addressed and solved on my end. I noticed that when starting a new file I'd see blank diacritics that didn't populate in the older version of your software. As suggested, I added these in. For example: acute ($B4- acute accent) >>>> acutecomb ($0301- combining acute accent) A...

Re: Composites not all generated in FC12
Renaming the glyphs using your advice seemed to improve the situation. Now there are only a few glyphs that don't generate which I can live with. Thanks again. Tell us which glyphs don't generate, then we can tell you which accents or base glyphs are missing or incorrectly named. There doesn't seem...

Re: Transform Wizard question
I checked and all the scripts were there. Permissions check out properly. Not sure what changed between the previous version I was using and 12.0. This one feature significantly affects my work flow. I can use Glyph Properties without having to go into the Transform Wizard (and open up a saved prese...

Composites not all generated in FC12
again........using the FCP 12.0 after upgrading from an older version. In the older version after creating Basic Latin and the proper diacritics I would easily create my European accents by right clicking on an empty glyph and choosing "create composites". This was a huge time saver and ma...

bearings missing
Upgraded to FCP 12.0 from an older version. Why is the "bearings" tab missing from Transform toolbar when editing glyphs? Is there a way to get it back?

[FIXED] Transform Wizard question
I recently upgraded to FCP 12.0 from an older version. Previously when running the transform wizard, the last settings I used would display the next time I run it. In 12.0 I have to start all over as everything is blank. This is incredibly annoying. Is there a way around this???

Private Use characters
One of the font sites I submit to recently rejected a font temporarily. It was a pretty straight forward serif with ligatures and 80% small caps. This was their exact request: " Your latest font doesn't appear to be PUA encoded and has a number of SMCP characters - Could you PUA encode this for...

Re: question about contextual chaining context
Bhikkhu,
I'll be happy to share the font with you. Check your email.
Thanks for the info on the randomize feature. I gave it a try and couldn't get it to work. It would only substitute the first alternate I plugged in.

question about contextual chaining context
I'm creating a distressed all caps font and would like to use a chaining context table for the first time to simulate an automated substitution. Each lowercase letter will have 3 alternates. For example (a= a.alt1, a.alt2, a.alt3) My goal is twofold: 1. For alternate glyphs to cycle in place of lett...

question about composite glyphs
Hi all. I tried looking for the answer to this but didn't see anything. In the past when I built a font I'd begin with the basic latin characters and accents of course. To create the composites I'd just right click on the empty glyph and choose "complete composites". More often than not th...
